Responsibilities

This Royalties Project Manager position will track and record royalty expense, interpret contracts, interact with third party licensors, and communicate with upper management. The primary focus of this position is complete projects as assigned and supporting externa Licensor audits. 

This position will provide opportunities to collaborate with many departments (domestic and international) to develop the best solution for business challenges on a global scale. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in identification and implementation of significant process improvement initiatives.  Also demonstrate analyzing large amounts of data and identifying risk. This position will also be the primary contact and support for external Licensor audits working closely with the team and auditors. This position works with multiple departments, across all business channels, linking industry leading themed products with the best revenue and royalty accounting solutions. Achieve a big picture company perspective through the engagement of problem solving for implementations of new contracts, systems, new product/process, GAAP technical changes, process improvements, and process integration.  Technical accounting skills with the ability to see the full financial picture.  Must be able to successfully engage and communicate with all levels, collaborate with internal and external business partners to ensure full scope of assigned tasks and projects are completed on time.  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, plus a minimum of 8 years accounting or related experience.
• Must have a strong working knowledge of multiple accounting disciplines including asset accounting, AR, AP, GL, Cost Accounting, and consolidations. 
• Must be technical and detail-oriented with analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills are required
• Problem solving skills, ability to assess multiple sources of data and perspectives and develop resourceful solutions.
• Advanced PC skills are required. 
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
• SAP software experience preferred
• CPA, MBA, or special certification related to the position is preferred
• Audit experience is preferred
• Additional knowledge in GAAP, IFRS, and SOX a plus
• Prior team lead experience is highly preferred
