Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Clinical Laboratory Assistant . We are looking for someone with a passion for people.

Assignment Start Date: 2/27/2024

13 weeks Afternoons 8hr shift 40hrs guaranteed weekly

Under the direction of the Specimen Processing Supervisor the Clinical Lab Assistant performs phlebotomy using various venipuncture techniques to collect blood directly from patients of all ages and is familiar with patient and specimen requirements for these tests; completes a variety of clinical support duties involved in identifying collecting receiving and processing all types of clinical specimens for laboratory analysis including preparation for transport to outside laboratories; follows all safety infection control and OSHA Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients
• of all ages upon request.
• Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments and pickup by reference
• laboratories.
• Performs all duties within assigned work blocks.
• Demonstrates compliance with corporate departmental and jobspecific requirements.
• Assists in the preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area.
• Travels to offsite locations for phlebotomy collections.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• Must have at least one year of Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting and clinical support experience in specimen processing.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills able to relate well with clients professionally and compassionately able to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
• The ability to perform in emergent or crises is required

Education: High school or equivalent (GED).

Certification Registration and Licensure: n/a

EMR System: Cerner experience preferred

Shift: 1 pm 9:30 pm Monday Friday and every other weekend
