Job description

This is a contract position for a Software Developer for our public sector client.
Work location: Downtown Toronto
Duration: Nine Months
7.25 hours/day
This is a Hybrid role that requires the candidate to be onsite 3 days of the week (This is a mandatory requirement of the role and is non-negotiable outside of exceptional circumstances.)

Responsibilities
• Provide data extracts and analysis to assist business analysis and decision making
• Assist in business solution design to ensure its feasibility to enhance existing Oracle Payment functionalities
• Provide technical solution design to minimize potential risks and address security concerns
• Develop scripts to implement the solution to meet business needs
• Perform unit test to ensure the application operate as expected
• Prepare change manage releases for script promotion to various environments
• Prepare necessary technical documentation
• Provide support to link test, system integration test, user acceptance test and address any defects as raised

• Participate in cutover plan preparation

Qualifications
• Proven business knowledge of Oracle Payments, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger Modules of Oracle E-Business
• Exceptional knowledge of Oracle E-Business table structure related to AP, IBY, PO, AR, GL, and FND etc.
• Demonstrated work experience in Java, Oracle Application Frame (OAF)
• Strong programming skills in Oracle database, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Workflow, PL/SQL, SQL, XML, BI Publisher, Unix shell scripts and SQL tuning etc.
• Previous development experience in major Oracle EBS R12.2 on customizations and extensions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and leadership abilities to be able to oversee the quality assurance of the project from a technical perspective
