POSITON SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Program Supervisor CGC Aquatics, and the technical direction and guidance of the Head Lifeguard, assists the public to ensure they have a safe and enjoyable aquatic experience.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensures that bathers are showered and appropriately attired before entering the pool area; refuses admittance to those not adhering to building policies and procedures.
  2. Regulates the number of people on the slide and ensures adherence to rules and safe operation procedures.
  3. Be familiar with emergency procedures of the pool and related equipment.
  4. Assists lifeguards and instructors with their duties when necessary.
  5. Enforces pool rules and regulations.
  6. Responds to public inquiries or complaints or refer to appropriate staff for follow-up.
  7. Operates sound system, code-a-phone, public announcement system, batherload counters and keeps necessary records.
  8. Repairs equipment or takes appropriate action in the meantime, and advises supervisor of any equipment maintenance or replacement needed.
  9. Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
