Matchbox Consulting is looking for a Project Engineer  for our client, a rapidly growing environmental consulting firm located in Burnaby, BC . Their dynamic work environment, focused on fun and support, enables individuals to achieve professional objectives while enjoying the journey.  

Responsibilities: 

• Managing studies for remedial options, treatment system upgrades, stormwater infrastructure, landfill closure techniques, air contaminant sources, etc.
• Working on a design team for remedial systems, chemical injections, barrier walls, treatment plant components, landfill covers, etc.
• Travelling to sites to observe site conditions, oversee staff and contractors, and conduct field reviews
• Preparing and/or reviewing of monitoring reports, audit findings, technical reports, design briefs, specifications, tender documents, contracts, etc.
• Managing schedule, budget and staffing for projects

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering discipline  
• 5 to 8 years of environmental consulting or related industry experience 
• Proficiency in several of the following areas: assessments of remedial options, upgrades to treatment systems, design of stormwater infrastructure, techniques for landfill closure, and oversight of infrastructure construction.
• Have an aptitude for engineering design and project management
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation
• Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a car
