The Role

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills to join our dynamic Marketing Team as a Marketing and Event Associate. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who values a fulfilling career contributing to the success of our lawyers and Firm through executing detailed marketing strategies and seamless event coordination.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

As a Marketing and Event Associate, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Coordination of all internal and external marketing events
• Ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of marketing strategies, tailored to different legal practice areas.
• Overseeing the execution of internal and external Firm events - guest lists, invitations, itineraries, name tags, RSVP tracking, ordering swag, food, beverages, and decorations
• Assisting with budget planning and invoicing
• Overseeing Firm memberships, conference registrations, award nominations & applications (register, apply, renew, terminate as required) as well as updating internal records, the Firm website, etc.
• Collaborating with the Communications and Marketing Specialist on website management (updating lawyer bios, photos, blog posts, etc.) as well as Social Media management (planning social calendar, creating relevant posts, and measuring results)

• Aiding in the creation and implementation of digital and print advertisements, the Firm's internal newsletter, and Firm-wide communications.
• Monitoring the Firm marketing inbox and responding to all internal and external requests promptly.

Qualifications and Skills

To be successful, you possess the following qualifications and skills:

• University degree or college diploma in marketing/public relations or a related discipline
• 3+ years of related experience
• High degree of attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Proven experience with event management
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders
• Previous experience with web site editing and design considered an asset
• Proven ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities in a deadline-driven work environment.
• Experience with desktop publishing software Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Canva considered a strong asset.
• Experience developing advertisements (online, print, and social) as well as promotional booklets and brochures.
