Our client located in the beautiful Collingwood area is an elite professional firm assisting individuals to create meaningful foundations with customized donor advised funds. This highly reputable team, is seeking an Accounting Manager to work with the administration and client services team to manage the daily financial operations of the organization.
About the role: Working on-site in their state of the art office and Reporting to the Founder and CEO, you will be responsible for managing the overall accounting needs of the organization. Responsibilities would include but not be limited to:
- Manage the full cycle of accounting records and bookkeeping
- Prepare weekly and monthly internal reports for management
- Prepare monthly reconciliations of multiple bank accounts, corporate brokerage accounts, credit cards and petty cash
- Cash flow analysis and budgeting
- Enter and track data for individual donor advised fund accounts
- Record quarterly gains/losses and investment fees
- Assist in processing grant requests
- Issue donation tax receipts
- Complete and submit HST rebate filings
- Manage banking activities including deposits, EFT, credit card payments etc.
Qualifications: - BComm, MBA and CPA or pursuing is preferred
- Minimum 10+ years experience in full cycle accounting – preferably within a financial services environment
- Advanced knowledge of fund accounting
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop
- NPO experience is preferred
- Strong system skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, professional presentation and demeanour
