Job description
The ideal candidate will have the following: · Ability to control workplace hazards to keep a jobsite safe. · Ability to complete field level assessment paperwork and submit to Human Resources · Ability to interpret shop and fabrication drawings · Ability to apply structural silicone glazing · Ability to layout Curtain wall, Store fronts, window, door, and all glass systems · Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications · Ability to fabricate and install commercial, residential hybrid systems- windows, doors, skylights, and canopies, including the application of air barrier systems · Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products · Ability to calculate material quantities and use math to optimize materials for projects · Safely rig, hoist, and utilize lifting equipment · Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding, swing stage, boom lifts · Ability to use construction software, such as, Bluebeam, Procore, Bim · The ability to train and supervise apprentices · Reliability and willingness to work hard Work conditions and physical capabilities: · Handling heavy loads · Physically demanding · Standing for extended periods · Bending, crouching, kneeling · Must be able to lift a minimum of 75lbs Work Environment: · Working at heights, outdoors in all temperatures, weather and at safety sensitive work sites · Work in the Greater Vancouver area Compensation: · Based on experience and knowledge · Extended health, dental and vision benefits, Long Term Disability and Life Insurance · Paid professional development and training opportunities · Growth Opportunities Qualifications: · Ticketed Journeymen/woman · Successful completion of the Red Seal Apprenticeship Program and/or · 8+ years glazing experience
