Are you an experienced Millwright looking for a great opportunity in Ottawa? Look no further! We are in search of a skilled individual to join our team. We are a leading provider of reinforcing steel products to general contractors and developers, for residential, commercial and industrial applications.
Permanent position
Hours: Days -OT available
Salary $28 - $33.50/hr

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Overhaul existing equipment and install new equipment
- Rebuild and fabricate parts
- Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work areas
- Generate parts request to ensure adequate inventory
- Generate and complete work orders as assigned
- Document, store and archive records of purchase and work performed
- Perform equipment changeovers and production line set-ups
- Responsible for the Lock-out / Tag-out process as implemented
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of mechanical/electrical/pneumatic experience
- Prior diagnostic/troubleshooting and preventative maintenance experience
- Previous experience within high-speed industrial environment
- Willingness and capacity to work outside in varying weather conditions, and perform physical work
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to follow manufacturer’s specifications and schematics
- Read and interpret diagrams and work drawings
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to utilize independent judgement in the daily performance of job duties
