Clearwater Seafoods requires a Live Lobster Account Manager based out of the Bedford, NS office. The position is a full time position.
Purpose of Position:
The Live Lobster Account Manager is a sales and service position, based out of Clearwater's corporate office, in Bedford, and involves managing established key accounts with a focus on growing new accounts for various regions for live lobster.
Reporting Structure:
- This position will report to the General Manager, Lobster.
Major Responsibilities:
Account Management - Order Entry
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned region to generate sales of live lobster.
- Ability to research and gather information for learning and developing prospective customers.
- Update and track sales forecasts and budget targets by month/quarter and maintain in S&OP for specific customer base.
- Enter, review and understand customer orders/documents to ensure they are accurate and correct.
- Work with other cross functional areas such as Finance, Logistics, and Plants.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the entire department customer base, not only the assigned region.
- Work up from start to finish, one off, orders to unique destinations for small and large volumes.
Inventory Management - Logistics
- Work with Plant Manager and Inventory Coordinator to ensure inventory supply for customer based on forecast.
- Work with Logistics and have a working knowledge of air freight routings and costs for your respective customers/regions.
- Assist Logistics when developing new routings or planning for volume business during peak seasons.
- Keep customers informed of logistical changes, delayed shipments, new arrival times, change of carrier, etc.
Receivables - Credit Notes
- Manage wide customer base with various credit terms keeping accounts up to date.
- Monitor and collect on overdue accounts in a timely fashion.
- Process credit card payments and make sure payments are applied correctly.
- Communicate with customers when issues arise to determine appropriate credit note required based on the situation and process credit note in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business or a related discipline.
- Five years' experience in a sales and service role.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous with customers at all times.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- MS Office including excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- SAP experience would be an asset.
- Language requirements: English (written and spoken) with a secondary language an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Bedford, Nova Scotia
- Travel: Some travel as required
- Physical Demands: Light
- Environment: Office & Remote (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday with the ability to work on weekends and be on call as required.
