Program Overview

Each intern is presented a real business challenge within their group that provides the opportunity to exchange ideas with subject matter experts for optimal learning and development that leads to real solutions. However, we aren’t ALL business. Throughout the semester, our University Relations team hosts exclusive events such as featured executive lunch & learns, plant tours, personal & professional development sessions and intern socials.

Your Role

The Laminate Product Design team is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join their team this Summer of 2024. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to make an impact in creating the graphic presentations and designing the yearly trend presentation. You will assist the Product Design team with various tasks based of your skill sets. Some of the tasks could include the following:

• Primary task responsibly is designing the yearly trend presentation with the direction on the design team.
• Trend research
• Creating dynamic design presentations in PowerPoint.

• Ideation, visualizing and communications to help establish and implement new products.
• Accessories product development
• Organizing and updating the design library

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Graphic Design
• Minimum 2.7 GPA
• Completed freshman year of courses
• Ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels
• Analytical, detail focus, problem-solving, decision making and organization/planning aptitude.

Preferred Skills

• Organizational skills
• Mid to Advanced Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator) and PowerPoint experience a must.
• Self-starter, motivated
• Previous internship experience
• Keen eye for design
• Simple brilliant work often within quick deadlines
• Work efficiently and effectively and demonstrate time management excellence.
