Job Overview

Rutter Urban Forestry is seeking one ambitious person to join our team at the entry level. Responsibilities & Qualifications

Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician/Helper

We are looking for one individual with an interest and knowledge in the care of trees with pesticides, fertilizers and other novel treatments. This position will be focused on plant health care related tasks, such as, pest sprays, trunk injection treatments to control Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), and tree fertilizer soil amendments. Other tasks will include stump grinding, the maintenance of PHC equipment, and occasionally helping out on an arborist work site. Prerequisites are; a knowledge of tree biology, an interest in modern Plant health Care, and a Landscape Class Exterminator’s license in Ontario is preferred. May 2024 to September 2024. Valid G-class license required. (Compensation from $19- $20/hour depending on qualifications)
