MatchBox is seeking an Estimator. 

Our client, a highly respected general contracting firm known for its innovative approach to design/build and integrated project delivery, is on the search for a Construction Cost Estimator. This pivotal position plays a critical role in the accurate and timely preparation of full-cost estimates for an array of projects, underpinning the firm's commitment to operational excellence and profitability.

Your Mission Should You Choose to Accept:

• Lead the development of comprehensive cost estimates across a variety of project types, including Conceptual, Design-Build, Construction Management, IPD, Lump Sum, and general tender works.
• Execute precise cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment in line with project proposals, plans, estimates, and specifications.
• Determine and apply unit costs, labor rates, productivity factors, and location impacts with accuracy.
• Secure competitive material and equipment quotes tailored to the unique requirements of each project.
• Strategically forecast for indirect costs, design contingencies, market escalation, and additional uncertainties to enhance project estimates.
• Engage in commercial negotiations and subcontractor selection processes, focusing on cost efficiency and project success.

What We’re Looking For:

• A professional with a degree or diploma in construction, engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in construction estimating, with a strong capability to produce accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
• Proficiency in interpreting construction documents and technical drawings.
• Advanced mathematical and analytical skills for effective cost calculation and budget management.
• Experience with cost-estimating software, alongside a solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe.
• A deep understanding of the construction market dynamics and competitive landscape.
