Job description
On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Red Seal Electrician. This is a printing and packaging manufacturing company located in Richmond, BC. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with great perks!
You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and your role as an Electrician is to provide maintenance services for the plant buildings, machines, and equipment.

Your tasks as an Electrician:
• Troubleshoot and repair (i.e. Printing Presses, and other machinery, etc.)
• Participate in safety and communication meetings.
• Maintain constructive relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
• Support and drive change initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Maintain open dialogue with maintenance staff, production manager and supervisors by identifying concerns and opportunities for improvement.
• Understand and practice the application of company culture and values.
• Provide information to managers, supervisors and team leaders in a constructive manner.
• Adhere to workplace organization standards, comply with safety policies and procedures ensuring that all Health and Safety standards are understood and practiced in a safe manner, and other duties as assigned.
The required qualifications of a Electrician:
• Red Seal Certification as an Electrician.
• Knowledge of PLC software (i.e., Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB) Able to design electrical systems and repair electrical equipment.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment at a Journeyman level.
• Valid Operators Certificate for Forklift, Scissor lift & Genie Boom. (will train)
• Plastics industry experience considered a strong asset.
• Fall Protection and Confined Space Course. (will train)
• HVAC experience is an asset.
The shift will be rotating between morning and afternoon shifts, Shift times are 6 am-2pm & 2pm-10 pm, rotating every two weeks.
