Summary MacDonald Paving and Construction is part of Miller Paving Atlantic, based in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. MacDonald Paving and Construction provides the public and private sectors with road construction, paving, road and structure rehabilitation, engineering construction, aggregate- based materials, highway operations and maintenance services. As a Crushing Foreperson, You Will:

• Ensure that daily operations are carried out in accordance with company objectives.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure quality meets specifications.
• Review work in progress and adjust schedules accordingly.
• Track quantities and production
• Maintain the preventative maintenance schedule, perform required maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment and plant to ensure quality and production
• Provide leadership to the crew.
• Facilitate a safe work culture and be accountable for safety of the team.
• Ensure company Health, Safety and Environmental policies are being adhered to
• Participate in daily work activities of equipment operating and labour duties.
• Perform administrative duties such as time sheets, inspections, etc.
• Conduct ‘tail gate’ safety talks with staff to review policies and practices.
• Review completed work; ensure appropriate documentation is completed.
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring / Requirements:

• Previous experience or knowledge of crushing and screening
• Ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans and specifications
• Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic computer knowledge
• Works effectively with shifting priorities
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to accurately document daily activities
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience
