Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting applications for the term position of Election Logistics Officer. Reporting to the Elections & Special Projects Manager and following specific instruction and requirements as found in the Municipal Elections Act (MEA) of Nova Scotia, the Election Logistics Officer will be responsible for tasks associated with the logistics of the Election Office, preparation of polling locations, delivering election materials, and supporting the Election officers for the Municipal Conseil scolaire acadien provincial (CSAP) elections

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience: Technical/Job Specific Knowledge and Abilities: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Applicants relying on education and experience equivalencies must clearly demonstrate such equivalencies in their application

Security Clearance Requirements : Applicants may be required to complete an employment security screening check and have a clean drivers abstract

Please note – Testing may be conducted as component of the selection process to assess technical/job specific knowledge. Candidates who are selected for testing may be tested in a group setting, scheduled at the employer’s discretion

WORK STATUS : Term full-time (up to November 2024)

HOURS OF WORK : Monday-Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 35 hours/week

SALARY: Non-union level 3, $47,630 - $65,490 annually

WORK LOCATION: 4th floor of Duke Tower (5251 Duke St, Halifax)
