Electrician Responsibilities
- Analyze architectural drawings and electrical code specifications for understanding.
- Create and evaluate electrical circuits, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Ensure optimal performance and proper illumination of electrical equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on a range of equipment, such as electrical transmission lines, motors, generators, distribution, and plant equipment.
- Possibility of conducting preventive maintenance programs.
Electrician Qualifications
- Technical school training and successful completion of the apprenticeship program.
- Holds a valid electrician license (309A or 442A).
- Minimum 5 years of practical experience.
- Proficient in interpreting schematic drawings to identify and resolve equipment issues as specified in pre-maintenance work orders.
- Skilled in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions using established sequences and diagnostic schematics.
- Collaborates effectively with production crews, offering detailed instructions to prevent recurring breakdowns.
- Capable of taking precise measurements using high voltage testing equipment and applying Electrical Code formulas to determine cable sizes.
