About The Opportunity:

The Housing Development Liaison is a new, innovative, and specialized role aimed at fostering and accelerating the development of sufficient non-profit and market housing projects in Prince George to meet the assessed need. The position will be at the forefront of achieving the City's housing objectives under the Official Community Plan, Housing Needs Report, Housing Needs Action Plan, and new Provincial housing legislation. The position will require a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills and a solid understanding of the housing development process. You will occasionally work outside of regular office hours and periodic out-of-town travel. This position is based on grant funding which will end in June 2026.

About Your Background:

You have a related bachelor's degree or two-year diploma from a publicly accredited, post-secondary institution recognized in the BC Transfer Guide. Along with a bachelor's degree, you have a minimum of one year of related experience in an economic development, housing development or planning role. With a diploma, you have a minimum of three years of related experience. The position will require a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills and a solid understanding of the housing development process. A valid class 5 driver's license is required.
