We are looking for a dedicated Costing Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing our job costing processes and ensuring the efficient and accurate operation of our business. Responsibilities
- Administer job costing software efficiently.
- Process daily merges to maintain accurate records.
- Monitor job costing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collect data to determine the costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labour.
- Analyze data and record results using computer software.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine their effects on costs.
- Process costs for jobs as requested by the management team.
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Compare invoices against purchase orders and shipping and receiving documents to verify the receipt of items ordered.
- Maintain various statistical records and tabulate statistical data.
- Compile data from vendor invoices and supporting documents to verify billing accuracy and ensure receipt of items ordered.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using job costing software and computer applications.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
