Procurement Analyst

What is in it for you:
Hourly salary of $78.60 to $81.30 based on experience.
18month contract with a maximum extension term of 12 months.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the organizations overall goals and objectives.
Lead strategic sourcing projects including conducting RFx and selecting vendors.
Develop recommendations including providing details of resource requirements dependencies interdependencies and policy implications pertaining to the procurement and contracting methodology to be applied.
Prepare solicitation documentation evaluation plans and award recommendations.
Recommend evaluation criteria approaches and strategies that will obtain the best value for the Province.
Engage with legal risk management and security teams to ensure terms are compliant with legal regulatory data security and privacy requirements.
Act as a liaison between the project team vendors and stakeholders throughout the procurement process.
Plan and coordinate procurement activities including financial estimates business technical requirements contracting options evaluation processes and vendor debriefings.
Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure the organization obtains the best possible terms and conditions.
Develop project schedule plans and strategies estimate resource requirements develop and monitor work plans and take corrective action for the completion of project tasks.
Plan coordinate and prepare controlling documentation for procurement plans and processes.
Develop and manage effective communication processes to ensure adequate project progress and issue reporting to all stakeholders.
What you will need to succeed:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
5 years of experience in sourcing contract management and procurement.
Strong understanding of procurement processes policies and best practices.
Demonstrated experience in managing multiple types of procurements including Request for Proposals (RFP) Dialogue RFPs prequalification processes and other sourcing tools.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex procurement challenges. Provide specific examples and outcomes achieved.
Knowledge and experience with Canadian contract law.
Professional designation such as SCMP is considered an asset.
Experience with Alberta Purchasing Connection SAP Ariba or other procurement software is considered an asset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to make datadriven decisions.
Experience and understanding of SaaS PaaS software and hardware markets IT Services agreements 3rdparty solutions providers and technology partners.
Experience in procuring and contracting motor vehicle applications will be considered an asset.
