JOB TYPE: Permanent full-time
SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Bilingual essential

JOB SUMMARY :
The successful candidate assists in managing all activities related to emergency services. Participates in the planning and organization of the care and services provided as well as in managing human, financial and material resources, staff training, quality and risk. Supports training and research. Based on operational needs, the successful candidate could be assigned different tasks, such as developing, implementing and maintaining a uniform process. Could be asked to manage staff physically working in other zones. Must also, for their job duties, travel within the Network to support colleagues in different zones.
REQUIREMENTS :
- Undergraduate degree in applied sciences or a health field;
- Graduate certificate in health services management, or an undergraduate or master's degree in health services management considered a definite asset;
- Minimum of five years' experience in a health care management position;
- Eight to ten years' experience in the health care field;
- Experience supervising/managing staff and strong coaching skills;
- Proven knowledge and experience in critical care (emergency services) and experience developing and implementing processes;
- Combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
- Proven transformational leadership ability;
- Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
- Ability to manage numerous projects and tasks simultaneously and understanding of the organization's needs and priorities;
- Analytical, writing and synthesis skills;
- Sound practical knowledge of Microsoft Office software package;
- Availability to travel within the Network's territory;
- Written and spoken knowledge of English and French (necessary);
- Ability to mobilize and engage and to act as a change agent;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and coaching skills;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
