Overview:
A prestigious accounting firm with a significant presence in the Niagara/Hamilton/Halton region is seeking an experienced Assurance Manager for its Burlington office. Role Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the preparation of financial statements and working papers for both audit and review engagements ensuring compliance with ASPE and CAS.
- Lead audit and review engagements providing guidance and support to junior staff members throughout the process.
- Prepare comprehensive corporate and personal income tax returns contributing to the firms commitment to exceptional client service.
Requirements
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within a public accounting practice with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or having successfully completed the CFE.
- Experience in a managerial role leading audit and review engagements is highly desirable.
- A robust understanding of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian Auditing Standards (CAS).
- Experience with Canadian income taxation and strong communication skills.
