Responsibilities
Analyze vendor software and documentation to understand its technical capability and functionality.

Analyze business and data workflows and prepare the appropriate documentation which includes workflow diagrams and use case documents. This will include system/software integration and fit/gap analysis.

Work with business leaders, subject matter experts and vendor staff to elicit and translate business and technical requirements into the appropriate technical specifications document.

Assist the core project implementation team as needed to ensure business needs are met.

Assist the Project Manager with project related activities as needed to ensure work plans are complete and being adhered to. This would include input for scope, issue and risk management activities.

Work with end-users and vendor to define, execute and track test case scenarios for functional, regression and user acceptance testing based on documented technical specifications.

Work with vendor and team members as needed to define and document an acceptable test strategy.

Work with the Project Manager as well as operational and program staff to help determine deployment plans and transition plans as needed.

Effectively communicate and document business and IT information in line with agreed processes and procedures.

Facilitate and lead group meetings for requirement gathering or testing workshops while documenting outcomes.

Provide input and advice on IT solution strategies, plans and deployments.

Ensure adherence to governance and Digital Health standards (e.g., privacy and security)

Contribute to project success as a project team member under the guidance of project management.

Other related work as required.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or equivalent experience, supplemented with a minimum of five (5) years in a business analyst or project role.
Ability to action business analysis or project management methodology and tools.
Experience with clinical or health information systems or HL7 would be an asset.
Strong facilitation and presentation skills; experience in stakeholder engagement sessions.
Demonstrated ability to extract quality information from a diverse group of stakeholders under limited time constraints.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Possess excellent time management and organizational skills.
Must be a detail oriented, analytical and an independent thinker, and be able to focus on details in the midst of change.
Capable of managing to a deadline.
Strong written skills; able to compile and organize technical and non-technical information from a variety of sources.
Ability to balance multiple tasks.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and Project.
Knowledge of the province’s health care system.
