Jacob Bros Construction is immediately hiring a
Certified Heavy Transport Mechanic. Registration with BC CVSE as an Authorized Inspector is a mandatory requirement. Your Rewards: • Earn overtime after 8 hours per day, and double time after 12 hours per day

Responsibilities: • Complete commercial vehicle inspections in-house
• Diagnose, identify and repair problems, faults and malfunctions in structural, mechanical or hydraulic systems
• Maintain and repair vehicles including but not limited to: heavy trucks, trailers and tracked equipment
• Use hand and power tools to repair and perform maintenance on equipment
• Take direction from shop Foreman and work harmoniously with co-workers to ensure all repairs and tests are performed satisfactorily
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements: • Interprovincial Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic trade certification
• Must be registered with BC CVSE as an Authorized Inspector
• Valid Class 5 license with air brake endorsement required
• Minimum of four (4) years’ Red Seal certified experience
• Prior experience with Peterbilt, Mack, Kenworth and other leading heavy truck manufacturers
• CSTS certificate, First Aid and WHMIS certificate(s) are an asset
