Description:

Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville (FCSLLG) is the amalgamated child protection agency for the counties of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville and the surrounding area. It was created in 2011 when the Children’s Aid Society of the County of Lanark and the Town of Smiths Falls, and the Family and Children’s Service of Leeds and Grenville united under a common umbrella. Serving a large geographic area of eastern Ontario, FCSLLG is a not-for-profit agency governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and funded by the Province of Ontario through the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS).

We are recruiting for a Service Manager. This is a full-time position.

The Service Manager is responsible for delivering service that is equity-based, promoting diversity and inclusivity, to achieve positive and equitable outcomes for children, youth and families in Lanark, Leeds and Grenville. 

Responsibilities:

• Understand and comply with the corporation's policies, programs, and work routines
• Develop operational materials and work routines
• Implement an annual service and financial plan
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate performance and financial indicators
• Assist with human resources functions including hiring, providing leadership in meetings, supporting professional development and training
• Provide clinical supervision to team members and coverage as required
• Select and oversee external resources and act as a liaison with external organizations as required
• Create a culture of engagement, knowledge sharing, and collaboration that supports organizational goals and objectives related to equity, diversity, and inclusivity 
• Meet accountabilities and achieve continuous quality improvement and excellence in all activities

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in child welfare
• A satisfactory police records check
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with business-class liability insurance

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Strong ability to collaborate and maintain positive partnerships with all relevant key stakeholders
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and leadership skills
• Computer aptitude and proficiency
• Analytical skills, attention to fine detail
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to manage system changes and work independently with a high level of initiative and self-direction
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high standard of privacy and confidentiality
• Understanding of a broad corporate planning framework as a foundation for annual planning, budgeting, and program activities
• Ability to create, monitor, and meet performance and financial objectives
