Job #4638 – Terrific opportunity to join a longstanding and well-respected local company as their Financial Controller on a full-time, permanent basis! Reporting to the Managing Director, the Controller will be responsible for leading a small team while managing the finance and accounting operations with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach. A versatile skillset along with a strong accounting background and a can-do attitude will take you far in this position. If you are looking for an exciting role that will allow you to drive forward new initiatives while taking full ownership – look no further! Main duties include:

• Responsible for the financial oversight of the company
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial reporting packages
• Implement and report on financial metrics as required
• Manage payroll function and benefits administration
• Provide leadership and support within the finance department
• Adhere to accounting standards, processes and procedures  
• Various other duties as required

Qualifications:

The main qualifications for this role include:

• Completed CPA designation strongly preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Previous supervisory experience considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written 
• Experience with QuickBooks considered an asset   

How You Will be Rewarded:

• $100,000 – $120,000 annual salary
