Unit Summary
The Fracture Clinic is an outpatient clinic serving the needs of a diverse adult population of patients requiring the services of orthopaedic surgery.
Under the direction of Orthopedic Surgeons and in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team, the Orthopedic Technologist provides a complete range of orthopedic technology services. Upon certification by the Chief of Orthopedics, performs delegated medical acts and skills related to the care of the Orthopedic patients. Performs other assigned duties in the Fracture Clinic and on the wards.
Schedule Work Hours
Monday to Friday; days
1.Current membership with the Canadian Society of Orthopedic Technologists as a Registered Member
2. Grade 12 or equivalent
3. Eligible for certification to perform Delegated Medical Acts
4. Minimum 1 year experience working in an orthopedic fracture and/or cast room of a hospital
5. Ability to bend, stretch and lift using proper body mechanics
