Job Description
The Data Management Services group of the Ottawa Methods Centre designs and implements data management solutions for research studies conducted at OHRI and the Ottawa Hospital. The candidate will join the data management team as a Web Application Programmer:
•To maintain multiple MS Visual Studio .NET web-based applications.
•To develop new web-based applications using MS Visual Studio .NET and MS SQL Server.
•To design, create, and maintain MS SQL databases.
•To design and maintain REDCap web applications, MySQL database.
Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering
•Working knowledge and experience of MS Visual Studio .NET, MS SQL, LINQ, REDCap, CSS, JQuery and Javascript.
•Hands-on experience in designing, coding, testing, and implementing web-based applications.
•Experience in designing and creating SQL databases and creating views.
•Experience in planning and working on multiple IT projects.
•In-depth knowledge of computing environments, operating systems, and browsers.
•Good communication skills, good client service orientation, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Knowledge and experience of REDCap and MySQL
•Knowledge of iOS app development, Xcode, and Swift
•In-depth knowledge and solid experience with CSS, JQuery, LINQ, and Entity Framework
•Ability to work in a high-stress, multidisciplinary team environment.
Contract Details:
This is a 3-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.
Salary: Min: $32.991/hr. – Max: $40.731/hr.
