Job Description:
Technical/Functional Skills
Experience: 3 Years
Mandatory Experience:
- 3 years experience in CBTC Systems Test and Verification or Commissioning environment.
- Background in software testing / ITV and engineering processes would be an asset
- Experience on the Ottawa LRT project (from other systems) would be an asset
- Working knowledge of CBTC products with respect to testing and commissioning .
- Working knowledge of safety standards railway principles and practices required at project site .
- Experience in testing of CBTC train control systems (onboard and wayside)
- PC literate and use of word processing spread sheet and scheduling software packages.
- Fluency in English both written and verbal.
Key Contribution:
- Review and understand scope of test procedures
- Prepare for test shift in advance by optimizing test scenarios utilizing simulation environment
- Conduct commissioning tests on site with resources provided as part of test shift (for onboard and wayside as needed)
- Assist in problem solving and troubleshooting during commissioning activities
- Document test results and update metrics accordingly to show daily progress
- Document defects according to GTS change control process
- Assist in preparation of test report for various systems/subsystems
- Participate in integration activity under supervision of T&C Lead / Manager
- Participate in commissioning strategy meetings led by T&C Lead / Manager
- Ensures the quality security and suitability of all work performed
