Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
With the mentoring of experienced Senior/Lead Power Electronics Development Hardware Engineers, the Development Software Engineer will:
- Simulate and design an overall Power Electronics system for Industrial application such as Marine Propulsion, Oil and Gas, Metals rolling mills, and Power generation applications.
- Specify electrical components (Cables, Filters, Inductors, Capacitors, Transformers, Converters …) of the overall electrical power plant.
- Write all project artifacts including Hardware and commissioning instructions.
- Design new Voltage Source Inverter (IGBT or Sic) and new Thyristor converter (Rectifier LCI)
- Support the project team on Hardware tasks as needed
- Support the Drive Test and Validation
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%

- Major Courses on Power Electronics Converters (MMC, multilevel VSI, LCI, DC drives or Cycloconverter), Variable Speed application, STATCOM, or active filtering
The salary range for this position is 79,400.00 – 99,200.00 – 119,000.00 USD Annual . The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
