Reporting to, and under the direction of, the Supervisor of Operations (Roads or Storm Water Management), the Summer Student – Roads may be responsible for some or all of the following:
Our Public Works team is looking for a self-motivated, solutions-oriented team member. You convey your thoughts clearly and concisely. You listen attentively and ask questions for clarification and understanding. Using sound judgment, you demonstrate tact, diplomacy and sound discretion when working with the public.
You’re always happy to learn new things and to help build a working environment that encourages and cultivates new ideas. You foster a collaborative team environment among co-workers, and work well both independently and as part of a team.
Students must be currently enrolled in and attending a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis (students will be required to provide proof) for the 2023/2024 school year and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in September 2024;
Students selected must be available to commence summer employment as early as May 6, 2024 and commit to working through to, and including, August 30, 2024.

Hours: Full-time hours, Monday through Friday (up to a maximum of 40 hours per week)
Work Location: Operations Centre
