Description

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to the corps officers of Corner Brook Temple Corps as well as lead administrative duties for the Community and Family Services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the corps officers of Corner Brook Temple and to the personnel of Community and Family Services in the following areas:

General Office

Under the direction of the corps officers, perform general office responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Confidentiality

Ensuring the protection of, and sensitivity to, personal and confidential information

Record Keeping and Statistics

Using a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, maintains all hard copy and electronic (Shelby) corps membership rolls and other records/registers association with membership including employee/volunteer information, various ceremonies, and requests for assistance from Community and Family Services; prepares for the annual corps review; collects and records statistics in the Salvation Army Management Information System (SAMIS) monthly. When requested, provides reports for the Corps Officers, Mission Board, CFS, DHQ and other internal and external committees.

Financial

When directed by the Corps Officers and/or Corps Treasurer, assist with the routine financial and administrative transactions such as:

TERM;   regular, full-time; 35 hours per week

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
