The Role:
The Directors Sales is a key role within the ACH Canadian business that owns and delivers the Sales strategy and execution for all of Canada and is accountable to deliver key volume, net sales and profit targets and goals.
The position requires energetic leadership, pro-active planning and very strong and effective communication specific to managing the broker and customer network.
Results will be accomplished by achieving sales objectives, managing the activities and performance of the specified brokers and accounts. These activities will include the broker execution of sales/account reporting, merchandising, and the support of the ACH objectives within the company planning objectives. These activities will be achieved while operating within approved budgets and established guidelines.
What You'll Do:
- Accountable for leading and managing the total sales effort to deliver volume targets, net sales, and profit objectives across the Broker and Customer network for all of Canada.
- Accountable for developing and executing customer strategies and sales plans to deliver volume, net sales and profit targets.
- Responsible to provide the GM with timely and accurate periodic sales reports which summarizes period performance and supports demand planning and business plan reviews. Work closely with Finance to provide period end reporting.
- Accountable for providing detailed sales forecasts to support demand planning and business plan reviews.
- Responsible for the management of the Promotional System utilizing the Trade Planning system and development and execution of trade investment strategies.
- Accountable for leading the broker network with proactive planning, including appropriate analytical data as supports market conditions, while ensuring optimum broker communication and broker conformity to ACH planning process and needs.
- Supports and takes the lead in the deduction clearance process for all Canadian customers and keeps deductions current as per ACH targets.
- Possesses and actively works to develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Canadian retail environment both, regionally and nationally and successfully manages the issues associated with national versus regional accounts.
- Thoroughly understands the key accounts and establishes a visible presence with the key customer decision makers to establish communication channels for opportunity identification, issue resolution or supplier preference.
- Supports in the continued integration of the ACH systems and processes to fully support the Canadian requirements and continues to develop a close working relationship with ACH US and ABF sister companies.
- Primary Canadian contact for the ACH Supply Chain team in managing customer logistics, customer resolution, allocation, Inventory transition and carrier issues.
- Work closely with Marketing team to execute any in-store consumer promotions and provide customer level insights to Marketing.
What You'll Need:
- University Business degree: Marketing /Bus Admin (BBA, BComm)
- 10+ years Marketing/Sales experience including Account/Broker management sales experience within a CPG National company environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Presentation skills, and the ability to learn, understand and use new software systems. Use of computers as the primary communication tool – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
