Job description
Our client, a well respected and rapidly growing public accounting firm, is looking to add an internal Controller to their team! This individual will be responsible for overseeing all internal accounting operations and serve as an integral part of the firm’s financial stability and growth.
RESPONSIBILITES WILL INCLUDE: - Assist Partners with any major financial decisions
- Planning, directing, and coordinating all accounting operational functions
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems
- Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff
Job Requirements:
YOU WILL NEED:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, 2+ years in a leadership role
- A degree/diploma in accounting, or related field of study
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
- Experience working with and reviewing billable hours (such as in public accounting, legal, etc.)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the business’s finances and overall operations
