Job description
Habitat for Humanity Saskatchewan is looking for a manager who can lead the Saskatoon ReStore in realizing its full potential; while coaching and directing a small, dedicated team of employees who work to assist clientele within the store, and sort and organize donations for re-sale.
The ReStore Manager plays a key role in managing all day-to-day operations. Major responsibilities include, merchandising activities, training and scheduling, inventory management, creating budgets and sales projections, financial reporting, and managing recruitment and retention. The ReStore Manager also ensures that the standards of the store are in line with Habitats guidelines and best practices.
Experience
-Construction, renovation and/or retail management an asset
-Certificate or diploma in Business Administration, Management, or a similar course an asset
-Equipment operation certification. (Can be obtained upon being hired, but is considered an asset to have)
-This position at times requires you to drive the company van, and therefore you must provide an SGI drivers abstract and a valid drivers license.
-Expert analytical skills to manage budgets, monitor sales and expenses, and ensure that the store is operating within financial targets.
-Ability to analyze financial data and identify areas of opportunity and risk and develop strategies to address these issues.
-Effective people management skills to lead a team of employees, as well as coordinate volunteers and donors.
-Thorough understanding of all merchandise the ReStore sells to maximize the customer experience.
