Duties:
The Comparative Metabolic Physiology lab at Brandon University is recruiting motivated research assistants to carry out experiments on the metabolism of zebrafish (D. rerio) and waxworm (G. mellonella). The successful candidate will assist in animal husbandry, experimental design, metabolic and molecular assays. The research assistant will also be involved in the analysis and interpretation of the results of this research and other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience:
Prior experience in research methods, molecular biology, animal husbandry and general lab practices is preferred. Animal care training certification will be required. Additional lab training and supervision will be provided as necessary.
