Job description
Primary Role:
Preflight/preparation of digital files for print.
Preparing proofs from supplied digital files, scans, and samples and sketches
Prepress for label designs, creating files for films and digital plates for flexographic printing in Adobe Illustrator
Creation of concepts and new designs for labels
Required Skills:Attention to detail
Extensive knowledge of Adobe Illustrator
Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Acrobat
Experience with Mac and Windows operating systems
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to adopt existing prepress and production workflow
Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency and quality in design
Basic understanding of separating spot colours for print
Willingness to learn and share design/prepress strategies
Ability to work independently at times and within deadlines
Effectively communicate with customers to understand their needs while ensuring designs are properly prepared for print
Other Requirements:A printed or digital portfolio showcasing the quality of your work
Education:Graphic Design Diploma/Degree
