Job Description: Journeyman Ironworker (Two-Year Contract with LOA Bonus)
Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Journeyman Ironworker for a two-year contract. This role is ideal for a professional who has a deep understanding and expertise in ironworking, and who is committed to safety, quality, and teamwork. The successful candidate will join our project team, working on a variety of challenging and rewarding construction and fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Structural Installation: Install and erect iron and steel girders, columns, and other construction materials to form buildings, bridges, and other structures.
- Welding and Fabrication: Perform welding, bolting, and riveting operations to assemble and join iron and steel components.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and project specifications to determine the dimensions and layout of ironwork.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment and ensuring a secure working environment.
- Inspection and Maintenance: Conduct inspections of structures and materials to identify potential issues and perform necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including other ironworkers, project managers, and engineers, to ensure timely and effective project completion.
Qualifications:
- Valid Journeyman Ironworker certification.
- Proven experience in ironworking, with a strong emphasis on structural and reinforcement work.
- Proficient in welding, cutting, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of construction safety and OSHA regulations.
- Excellent physical strength and stamina.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Contract Details:
- Duration: Two years.
- Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications.
