Job description
Responsible for maintaining MacCosham and client equipment in a safe and cost-efficient manner
Assisting with CVI/government inspections and repairs under the supervision of a licensed technician
Performing timely and safe repairs on trailers, containers, chassis, and other equipment
Performing routine maintenance and servicing, including all fleet maintenance processes
Performing tire change, replacement, and maintenance
Driving company service trucks to perform minor repairs on chassis within our yard
Assisting with after-hours service calls as needed
Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Performing other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications: Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License
Capable of meeting the physical demands of the heavy-duty equipment environment (ie. lifting up to 75lbs)
Comfortable working occasionally outdoors
Forklift experience is considered an asset
Tire experience is considered an asset
Basic understanding of mechanics, wiring, or welding is considered an asset
Trailer maintenance and repair experience/training/education is considered an asset
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable working with iPads
Must have access to steel toe boots with a minimum 6' rise; mandatory
Capable of working under minimal supervision
Must demonstrate safe and efficient workplace practices
Highly motivated team player, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions
Strong attention to detail
