Job description
Aramark is recruiting a Lead Cook for the food services at the Toyota manufacturing facility in Woodstock, ON. This is an Afternoon Shift and includes 8 hours of paid Overtime. The Lead Cook is responsible for cooking and preparing food using standard recipes and production guidelines. The Lead Cook also supervises up to 10 staff and delegates responsibilities.
Shift Schedule
Monday – Thursday
2:00PM – 12:00PM Midnight
Fridays
2:00PM – 10:30PM – Overtime pay
• Leads the kitchen staff in the production of food services for the Toyota Woodstock employees
• Counts cash tills before and after each shift – tally sales – generate reports as required
• Coordinates daily-weekly Lunch and Learn boxed catered Toyota employee meals
• Works hands-on during the shift either in the kitchen or at an open food station
• Operates and trains kitchen staff on safe knife handling and use of grills, fryers, ovens, broilers
• Schedules and assigns daily work activities for the staff – fills in gaps as required
• Trains and guides staff on food safety and sanitation procedures and cooking methods
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service with a positive attitude toward clients, staff, management

• 2-4 years culinary experience required; culinary diploma or degree is an asset
• Previous kitchen supervisory experience is required
• Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, cooking methods, etc.
• Basic math and counting skills to tally cash registers and enter sales nightly
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work the Afternoon Shift and hours as listed above
• Must have own reliable vehicle as public transportation is not available
This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
