McCrea Excavating Ltd. is a family-owned business that has been serving Eastern Ontario for multiple decades. All our services and equipment are backed by the reputation of high quality, personable and reliable services. Our services include excavating, civil construction, aggregates, float services, rock breakers, landscaping, septics, snow removal, and sand, gravel and topsoil.

We are currently recruiting for AZ and DZ Drivers. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday. Seasonal and year-round positions are available.

AZ  and DZ Drivers are responsible for the safe operation of our trucks by ensuring proper load securement. Drivers will perform daily inspections of the truck and not any maintenance or repair issues and complete any required paperwork.

Responsibilities:

• Transport materials to various construction sites
• Comply with all rules and procedures for safe vehicle operation
• Bring any issues of mechanical or equipment malfunctions or concerns to the company’s attention
• Maintain appropriate logs for the truck
• Perform regular maintenance of the truck including adding oil, fuel and washer fluid
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license
• A clean driver’s abstract and CVOR
• Experience working in and knowledge of the concrete and construction industry  is an asset
• Experience driving a triaxle dump truck and using a dump trailer is an asset
• Safety-focused attitude with additional safety certifications an asset
• Willing to work overtime as required
• Safety conscious at all times
• Punctual, reliable, team player
• Able to operate both a manual and automatic transmission truck
• Must be willing to travel
