Oversee day-to-day operations, including funeral arrangements, embalming, cremation, and memorial services.
Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal regulations related to funeral services.
Manage inventory, equipment, and facility maintenance to uphold a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
Client Relations:
Provide compassionate support and guidance to grieving families.
Collaborate with families to plan and execute funeral services that meet their unique needs and preferences.
Builds community relationships with churches, bereavement and healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders, and suppliers.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and the community to build trust and goodwill.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor funeral home staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, empathy, and teamwork.
Set performance expectations and ensure staff members adhere to high ethical and service standards.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the funeral home's budget, optimizing resources and controlling costs.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve growth and profitability.
Compliance and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of all funeral arrangements, contracts, and financial transactions.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and licensing requirements.
Requirements
You have held a Funeral Directors License for a minimum of 5 years.
Have leadership experience and experience managing a team.
Have an exceptional ability to work with and develop team members; including coaching, constructive feedback and reviews.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Build, work in and develop a cohesive team both within a specific location and companywide.
Possess an excellent work ethic, ensuring goals and deadlines are met and standards are kept high.
