Job description
VinAudit.com Inc. is seeking a talented software professional to help us figure out how to turn large amounts of data into large amounts of money! You would be joining a small team of around 40+ individuals working remotely and globally including in the Philippines, Pakistan, the United States, and Canada. We happen to specialize in vehicle data. Since 2011, we have aggregated billions of vehicle-related records, helped millions of consumers evaluate a car purchase, and served thousands of automotive businesses with access to our unique datasets. We believe we're just getting started, and we'd love to explore how you could help.
Work Setup:
Location: Remote in Canada supporting US-based business
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm Pacific Time (US hours)
Base Pay: $100K - $150K CAD per year
Below are some of the responsibilities a software engineer is expected to assume in their position:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using Python and PHP. You will be working with a team of developers, collaborating with other departments to deliver high-quality products. You will also be responsible for writing clean, reusable, and efficient code, as well as mentoring junior developers to help them improve their skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain software applications using Python and PHP
Write clean, reusable, and efficient code in Python and PHP
Design and implement software solutions to meet customer requirements
Collaborate with other developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software products
Develop and maintain documentation for software systems and applications
Troubleshoot and debug issues in software systems and applications
Mentor junior developers to help them improve their skills and knowledge
Keep up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software engineering

Qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in software development using Python and PHP
Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Django and Flask
Strong experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel and CodeIgniter
Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles
Proficient in SQL, database design, and optimization
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration skills
