Occupational Health Nurse (RN or RPN), Occupational Health and Safety
Reporting to the Director, Occupational Health and Safety, the incumbent is responsible for the delivery of established occupational health programs, protocols and services; including immunization programs, assessing submitted employee medical documentation, communicable disease surveillance program compliance and other related functions as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
What must you have?
- Graduate of a recognized program for Registered Nurses or Registered Practical Nurses.
- Holds a current general certificate of registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current BCLS.
- Minimum one year experience as an Occupational Health Nurse

- Strong ability to multi-task and shift priorities as the need arises.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer literacy in a Windows environment, utilizing Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level.
- Proven attendance record.
- Demonstrates understanding and complies with patient and staff safety policies and procedures that foster a safe and inclusive environment for all.
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the job.
- Effectively uses empathy in interactions with others and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Mackenzie Health’s Commitment to Caring.

Preferably, your profile also includes:
- Diploma/Certificate from a recognized college in Occupational Health Nursing
- COHN (C) certificate
- Experience within an acute care environment
- Experience with Parklane software
