Responsibilities
In this Accounts Receivable/Cash Application specialist role in Oakville, you will be responsible for the following:
•Enter, post and reconcile batches
•Research and resolve customer A/R issues
• Daily posting of payments by cash, cheque, credit card, online business banking and EFT.
• Preparation of bank deposits for multiple entities.
• Reconciliation of returned items and chargebacks.
• Processing of credit card refunds.
• Investigation and resolution of cash application issues.
•Prepare aging reports
•Update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L.
•Reconcile bank accounts, recording and balancing financial information in a variety of ledgers
•Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
•Work with clients to solve payment issues; set up payment plans as needed
•Handle payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with guidelines
•Respond to requests for information from vendors and various other stakeholders
•Verify the correctness of documents and codes
Qualifications
This Accounts Receivable/Cash Application specialist role located in Oakville will require the following:
•Minimum 3 years of experience working in full-cycle Accounts Receivables.
•Experience working with Cash Applications.
•Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy.
•Well-founded grasp of Credit Administration and Credit Application.
•Knowledgeable of large ERP systems such as SAP.
