MacDonald Search Group is proud to partner with a prominent University based in downtown Vancouver in their search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor to join their faculty in the Masters in Applied Computer Science program.
The Vancouver campus boasts an excellent and dedicated core of full and part-time faculty, a new, state-of-the-art facility, small class sizes, close working relations between students, faculty and staff, and an intensive and unrivaled student support system focused on individual student success.
What you will be doing:
- Teaching in all of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity
- The above includes but is not limited to graduate courses such as Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Computer Algorithms and Systems Programming.
- Pursuing an active research program resulting in peer-reviewed publications.
- Providing academic advising
- Participating actively in student recruitment and retention efforts, learning outcomes assessment, and curriculum and laboratory development
- Supervising capstone projects, internships, and student organizations
- Accompanying students on field trips and to conferences
- Seeking outside funding.
- Supervising the adjunct faculty
- Coordinating, promoting, and reviewing the BSIT and MSACS program and in implementing the program’s initiatives.
- Attending open houses and outreach programs.
Who you are:
- Must hold a PhD degree or Post-Doctoral studies in one of the following fields of study: Electrical and Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- You have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, service, and contributions to student welfare.
- Must have a strong track record in scholarly and research work through journal and conference publications in the field of Computing Sciences.
- You have a passion for teaching and a unique ability to connect with students that makes them excited to learn. You strive to be the Professor that they will long remember had an impact on their lives.
