Job Summary:

The Cooks are responsible for preparing, producing, and cooking Indian cuisine dishes in a fast-paced working environment using authentic and traditional ingredients and techniques. The right candidate will provide hands-on culinary skill to deliver high quality food and service to our customers.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian cuisine dishes as instructed by chef;
• Work with ingredients such as meats, vegetables, and rice and use specialty cooking equipment;
• Adapt dishes for customers with specialty diets, allergies, and intolerances;
• Follow restaurant presentation guidelines and recipes to ensure a high quality of food preparation and service is maintained;
• Maintain restaurant inventory and place orders for ingredients and kitchen supplies when stocks are low;
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed during the cooking process and that all food products are safely stored;
• Assist in the maintenance of a clean and organized kitchen and food storage areas according to health and safety regulations; and
• Other duties as required.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• At least one (1) year of prior experience in the food preparation or food service industry is required; and
• Must be dependable, reliable and have effective leadership, organizational, and effective communication skills.
