Effective January 1st, 2024 the salary range for this position is $26.92 to $31.31 per hour in compliance with OPSEU Correctional Bargaining Unit collective agreement provisions. The new rates, effective retroactive to January 1, 2024, were recently confirmed and dates for implementation of the new salary rates are still to be determined

What can I expect to do in this role?
In this role, you will:
- Organize, maintain, update and ensure confidentiality of treatment records
- Coordinate meeting, prepare agendas and minutes, and take notes
- Coordinate treatment program schedules and logistics
- Create and maintain files, including file storage, retention and archiving
- Prepare and type a variety of documents and correspondence; format content, check for accuracy and compliance
- Compile information from files and records
- Respond to inquiries and refer issues to appropriate staff
- Participate on cross-functional teams and special projects
How do I qualify?
Administrative Skills
- You have demonstrated experience and skills in providing a wide range of administrative services
- You are familiar with the use of office equipment (e.g., photocopier, phone, postage meter, fax machine, etc.)
- You can work in a team environment and handle competing priorities
Computer Skills
- You are knowledgeable in the use of computer software applications (e.g., Internet, Windows, MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) to produce a variety of documents and correspondence, create spreadsheets, coordinate meetings and schedules, manage files, and track information in databases
File Management Knowledge
- You have knowledge of electronic and paper-based document management systems
- You have knowledge of file management, including file storage, retention and archiving
Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
- You can analyze issues by conducting own research and/or liaising with others
- You can ensure confidentiality and accuracy when providing information and/or responding to inquiries
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
- You can communicate effectively and provide accurate information to internal and external clients
- You have strong writing skills to prepare written responses
