Hays Specialist Recruitment has partnered with an accounting firm located in Kentville, NS. We are looking for a Receptionist to join their team on a contract basis for 1 month. This role is 5 days a week in-office.
Your new role
- Answer and direct phone calls in a courteous and professional manner
- Greet and assist clients and visitors in a friendly and welcoming way
- Handle mail and courier deliveries and pickups
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Receive and process payments by cheque or credit/debit card
- Manage boardroom bookings and catering arrangements for meetings and events
- Assist with the preparation of meeting materials and presentations
- Assemble T1 personal tax returns and other client deliverables
- Prepare letters and reports using firm templates and standards
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning and faxing
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple requests without getting overwhelmed
- Professional dress and appearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other office software
- Knowledge of office procedures and equipment
- Ability to work well with others and be engaged with the group
- Ability to hit the ground running and understand the balance required in the office environment
