Your new company  

Our client is one of the largest privately held companies in Canada with total annual revenues of $15 billion across multiple industries. We are active in the development of new projects consisting of multifamily condo and rental residential, industrial, self-storage and retail commercial. They also have plans to diversify the portfolio to include projects in other major centers across Canada. 

Your new role  

The Senior Development Coordinator reports directly to the VP – Development & Investment. The role is an exciting opportunity to work for a very well capitalized and stable business on projects spanning a variety of asset classes and markets. We have a small, close-knit team, and consequently you will have the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the entire development lifecycle including due diligence, approvals, design and construction. This will include close collaboration with external consultants, marketing and city staff.

What you'll need to succeed  

The ideal candidate is a dynamic, collaborative and driven individual who is passionate about developing a career in real estate. You are an excellent communicator with strong analytical and organizational skills. You are a self-starter but also love to learn and soak up knowledge from those around you. We are open to considering candidates with 2–5 years of relevant experience as Development Coordinator, Project Coordinator or Analyst. You should have a relevant education, such as Urban Land, Architecture or Engineering, but most importantly, you have a positive attitude and genuine interest in real estate. 

What you'll get in return  

In exchange for your hard work and commitment, you will earn an attractive compensation package including a competitive base salary of $75-100k (commensurate with experience level), bonus and RRSP matching. The opportunity for learning and professional development is considerable. The position offers a clear route to becoming a Development Manager in the future. We currently work out of modern, well-appointed offices in North Vancouver. Our intention is to relocate the office to Downtown Vancouver in the Fall of 2024.
